OSSFlow

Use case

Voice dictation for students

OSSFlow is for speaking a paragraph into the notes or essay field you already opened. It is not a lecture recorder, and it does not join a class. History stays on the phone. There is no student account to create.

Drafts, not lectures

Focus the document, tap the bubble, and speak. The text is pasted and copied. You still structure the essay. Cleanup can take out fillers. A custom instruction can ask for a dialect. None of that writes the argument for you.

If the assignment is "transcribe this lecture", use a recorder such as Otter. Otter keeps a transcript inside its own app, with an account and plan limits. OSSFlow will not sit in a lecture and label speakers.

In the library or on the bus

Dictation needs the internet and a place you can speak. The bubble can be snoozed when you do not want it on screen. If the notes app rejects the paste, History still has the text.

Install steps are the setup guide. Android 14 or newer. The app is free, bring your own key.

Questions

Can I record a seminar with OSSFlow?
No. It listens only while the bubble is red, and it pastes into a field. It is not a background recorder.
Will my college see an OSSFlow account?
There is no OSSFlow account. The API key is yours, stored on the phone.
Is dictated coursework allowed?
That is your course's rule. The app can enter text. It does not claim that a marker will accept dictation.
Can I dictate in another language?
The default Grok language is English, and OSSFlow does not translate. See the multilingual guide before you rely on another language.
