Dictate into WhatsApp

OSSFlow can paste a dictated message into the WhatsApp field you have focused. It does not send the message, and it does not record a WhatsApp voice note. You speak, the cleaned text lands in the draft, and you press send after you have read it.

Before the first message

Install OSSFlow, allow the bubble and Accessibility, and add a key. Those steps are the setup guide. The keyboard you already use for WhatsApp can stay. OSSFlow is not a replacement keyboard.

Dictate the message

  1. Open WhatsApp, open the chat, and tap the message field so the keyboard is up.
  2. Tap the bubble. It turns red while it is listening.
  3. Speak, then tap the bubble again.
  4. The text is inserted into the field. Password fields are skipped. If an app will not accept the text, it is on the clipboard and in History. Tap a History row to copy it.

Voice notes are a different control

The microphone inside WhatsApp sends a voice note. OSSFlow does not press that control. If you wanted a text message, use the bubble while the text field is focused. If the paste does not land, the same text is on the clipboard and in History.

Read the draft. Cleanup removes fillers and false starts, and it can still mis-hear a name. A personal dictionary is the place for names and spellings you use often. Password fields are skipped, which does not affect an ordinary chat.

Questions

Will OSSFlow send the WhatsApp message?
No. It inserts text into the focused field. You review it and press send yourself.
What if WhatsApp ignores the paste?
Copy it from the clipboard, or open OSSFlow and tap the row in History. The transcript is stored on the phone either way.
Can I dictate a WhatsApp voice note this way?
No. A voice note is audio inside WhatsApp. OSSFlow produces text.
Does this need a WhatsApp account inside OSSFlow?
No. OSSFlow has no account. You only need WhatsApp open and an API key saved in OSSFlow.
